Abstract:
青少年的睡眠品質影響情緒、人際關係及學業表現,亦是台灣需要被重視的議題。對於尚未有嚴重睡眠困擾的青少年,我們有許多可以介入改善睡眠品質的方式,其中一項便是人工光照。人工光照藉由改變褪黑激素分泌的時間點,進而影響睡眠的品質,也進而影響大腦功能而改變情緒。然而,人工光照介入多為實驗室場域的研究,在真實世界中以學校教室為人工光照介入場域的研究非常少,以及人工光照對於大腦γ-胺基丁酸(GABA)及麩胺酸(glutamate),各為中樞神經抑制及刺激的神經傳導物質之改變,亦是值得探討的研究方向。此研究乃針對南部一所女子高中,在學校教室安裝高照度及高色溫的人工光照設備,於學生上午上課期間給於光照約兩個月,比較實驗組與控制組,在以多頻道睡眠生理檢查儀(polysomnography, PSG)檢測的睡眠品質、昏暗光線褪黑激素分泌時間點(dim light melatonin onset, DLMO)、核磁共振光譜儀(magnetic resonance spectroscopy, MRS)測量的腦活性,以及與睡眠情緒相關的量表,來作為前後測對照指標。研究發現白天主觀焦慮情緒強度與睡眠相角值(phase angle)呈顯著負相關(r= -0.72, p=0.05),而人工光照介入後,造成睡眠相角值減少、第三期睡眠減少、大腦GABA抑制功能增加、Glutamate/GABA減少,這些結果顯示真實世界中的人工光照可能影響青少年褪黑激素的分泌及大腦調控抑制的功能增加。
